Inspirational messages for a fairer world

On Tuesday 19th May 2015, Bankside Primary School presented their Global Learning Charter to their School Council cluster, inspiring many other children to think about global issues. Children from Hovingham, Bracken Edge and Harehills Primary Schools reflected on Children’s Rights such as education, access to food, freedom for war and the right to live in a safe and clean environment. Edukid and Send my Friend to school resources were used in addition to Leeds DEC’s inspiring ‘What is Global Learning’ film to bring the issues to life. “If I was a world leader, I would have all the schools have free education and send money to all the people so they can have food to eat” reflected Sidra aged 9.
